| About Dr Nighat Islam Consultant, Non-Invasive Cardiology |
| Dr. Nighat Islam obtained her MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 2001. Then she obtained her MD in Cardiology from NICVD Dhaka in 2012. She received postgraduate training from Dhaka Medical College and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). She also received training in Non-invasive and Interventional Cardiology (observational training) at Severance Hospital, Seoul, Korea in 2016. Dr. Nighat completed her fellowship in Non-invasive Cardiology at Max Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi, India in 2022 and received training in Adult Congenital Echocardiogram at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, India in 2023. She has over 11 years of rich experience in the field of Cardiology with a special interest in different modalities of echocardiogram. Dr. Nighat Islam started her career as a medical officer at BIRDEM. Later, she joined as registrar in the Cardiology Department at Evercare Hospital Dhaka. Before becoming a Consultant at Evercare Hospital Dhaka, she served the same institute for 11 years in the Department of Cardiology in different capacities. She is an expert in different modalities of echocardiogram like 2D, 3D, color Doppler, transesophageal echo, strain echo, dobutamine stress echo, etc. She has more than 30 publications in national & international journals. Apart from all fields of Cardiology, her special interest is in Non-invasive Cardiology. |
