| Prof. Dr. Sayeda Rahim completed her MBBS from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College followed by an MD in Gastroenterology from IPGM & R. She also attained her FRCP from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (RCPS, G), Glasgow. She is the first female Gastroenterologist from Bangladesh (BD). Prof. Dr. Sayeda Rahim is currently working as a Professor of Gastroenterology at Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital, Dhaka. In her long career, she has worked in various government medical college hospitals like Dhaka Medical College & Hospital. Sir Salimullah Medical College & Hospital, Dhaka, Shaheed Suhrarwardy Medical College & Hospital, Dhaka etc. Prof. Dr. Sayeda Rahim is an expert in doing all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of Gastroenterology like Endoscopy of Upper GIT, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic & Colonoscopic Polypectomy, Endoscopic Band Ligation & other Haemostatic procedures, Esophageal Dilatation, ERCP, etc. She is also involved in teaching postgraduate students and other academic activities. She has a good number of National and International publications. Prof. Dr. Sayeda Rahim is an active member of the Bangladesh Gastroenterology Society, the Indian Gastroenterology Society, & the British Society of Gastroenterology. |
